Description:
Poplar can have large sections that are of a darker color than the common creamy-white. Its well known for its durability - similar to that of oak - but with a substantial reduction in weight. It has flexibility and close grain, which gives it a balance of properties that have made it highly desirable for a number of applications for generations.

Origin:
It is considered a common high-quality hardwood by species, and is typically softer than pine. Poplar trees grow in moist sites that have natural sources of water seepage.

We offer kiln drying in 4/4 and 8/4 thicknesses in sorted and random widths with 6’ up to 16’ lengths to suit customer’s needs.
