Product: Cypress Lumber

Botanical Name - (Taxodium)

Cypress is a lightweight, workable wood with a very distinctive grain pattern. Annual rings combine soft, open-meshed spring wood, with hard, close-grained summer wood. It is strong, but is also a light yet durable soft hardwood. The cypress tree has a natural oil known as "cypressene" which is moderately resistant to decay and insects. It is soft and is easy to both sand and finish.
